Years of photographing women, beautifully and respectfully.
I'm Farah Olabi — the founder, lead photographer, and quiet steward of Veil & Light. Across the years I've photographed women's weddings, milestones, and private celebrations — building a craft rooted in cultural reverence, soft natural light, and uncompromising privacy.
My calling has always been the women themselves. After hearing — over and over — that sisters, mothers, and brides had never felt safe being photographed, I built Veil & Light around them. A women-only crew, a women-only promise, and an on-location practice that comes to you: in your home, your venue, your suite, your space.
Veil & Light is a Clifton-based, on-location practice available to women throughout Passaic County and Northern New Jersey. We focus on culturally sensitive, female-only environments — modest weddings, henna nights, bridal portraits, and milestone sessions for the women who deserve to be celebrated.

Privacy isn't a feature of how we work — it is the foundation. The protocol below is non-negotiable for every bride, milestone client, and private session we photograph.
No Image Shared Without Written Consent
Not on social media, not in vendor blogs, not in our portfolio. Each image you appear in stays private until you say otherwise — in writing.
In-House Female Editing
Your gallery never leaves our women-led editing room. We do not outsource retouching, color, or culling.
Optional Private NDA
For brides who would prefer additional formal protection, a mutual NDA is available on request before booking.
When You're Ready

Most private sessions fill 4–8 weeks in advance, and weddings 6–9 months out. An early note is always welcome.
